vidara - NEW Q-DAS SOFTWARE PRODUCT

vidara - NEW Q-DAS SOFTWARE PRODUCT

Where are the differences between destra and vidara?

23 April 2015: Stephan Sprink

Since we have come up with a new design in version 11 of our Q-DAS software products in 2014, we will provide our customers with a new software product in 2015 – vidara.

Features of destra in version 11

destra in version 11 is an analysis tool for process optimization relevant to practice. The software includes measurement system analysis, sample and process capability analysis, regression, analysis of variance, statistical design of experiments and reliability analysis. destra thus combines all analysis tools required for improvement projects (e.g. Six Sigma, DMAIC, Plan-Do-Check-Act or 8D report).

The new Project Explorer combines analyses made in different modules into compact work packages and structures them. Virtually, it encloses related data and evaluation results by brackets and helps you to switch easily and quickly to a different module or product of the respective project element of destra.

Users may allocate external documents to each element (node) in the created project structure and open the corresponding link as needed. The respective application shows the linked documents and you can have a look at e.g. the required additional documents.

vidara - what makes the difference?

Users of qs-STAT and solara.MP are quite familiar with the evaluations provided in the Measurement System Analysis, Sample Analysis and Process Capability Analysis modules. But, as opposed to destra, solara.MP and qs-STAT (Process Capability Analysis) include many standards and company guidelines as well as important functions required to integrate and configure the Q-DAS CAMERA Concept. These options are not available in destra since destra focuses on the application of the statistical package.

The new software product vidara (to be released in 2015) is designed for users of qs-STAT and solara.MP looking for a reasonable extension providing evaluation options in terms of improvement projects (e.g. Six Sigma, DMAIC, etc.). Users are thus still able to apply all existing evaluation strategies of qs-STAT and solara.MP and do not have to face the restrictions of destra when adding vidara to solara.MP and qs-STAT. vidara supports the following types of analysis Reliability and Weibull analysis

  • Analysis of variance (ANOVA), analysis of covariance
  • Correlation, simple and multiple linear regression
  • Design of experiments
